Avon's soft side comes out as he makes the difficult decisions necessary to protect his team. The characters have a lot of depth, and each one has a unique persona that makes them relatable. This is a story you'll be eager to read more about. The writing is flawless and there's a real feel for the world in which it is set. It's a masterpiece written by an author at her peak.
