The Eufy 11S is among the most affordable self-emptying robot vacuums on the market. It was able to efficiently remove dry oats from hard floors and low-pile carpeting in our tests. Its dustbin is easy to empty and open- easier than those of other models in the same price range.

It recharges at the base and resumes cleaning when it's fully charged. But its obstacle-avoidance system gets caught in socks and cords and it can't go under low thresholds.

1. iRobot Roomba 11S

The 11S is a more affordable self-emptying robotic vacuum cleaner that many people seem to like. It's great for scooting under furniture and seems to be a smart choice for best self-emptying vacuum people with hard floors or who wish to perform light daily cleaning. Its suction is a bit less powerful than our top picks, but it still does the job. It has a large dust bin and a durable battery. The app allows you to schedule your daily cleaning routine or choose a particular room. It's also possible to create a map of your home, which will assist in avoiding areas you don't want to go to.

The app is easy to use and has a clean layout. It's not a full-featured app however it's easy to use and allows you to keep track of the robot's activity. It comes with a tutorial that will walk you through the basics.

The eufy RoboVac 11S makes an excellent choice for everyday vacuuming. It has a very similar design to our top choice and is good in removing fine dust and larger debris from hard floors. It also does a decent job on medium and low-pile carpet. Similar to the Roomba from iRobot Roomba it also has a very large dirt compartment, and it uses BoostIQ to automatically adjust suction power. It comes with a simple remote control and you can set up daily cleanings with the app. Its battery lasts for about an hour and the dustbin is able to be empty without taking it from the dock.

2. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra

Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra robot mop and vacuum is an excellent robot with a surprising array of features for automation. The Roborock S7 MaxV is available in three different versions of the basic S7 model and the S7 Plus model, and the S7 Ultra. The S7 MaxV Ultra is the only model with an Empty Wash Fillet Dock (or an alternative Auto-Empty Dock). These docks allow the robot to return to its base after a cleaning session, empty the collected debris into a dust bag or reservoir, empty its dirty water tank, and clean its mopping pad.

The S7's sensors work in tandem to stay clear of obstacles and clean the floors. It can recognize the types of floors, save maps of rooms and zones and even detect levels of dirt. It can also schedule and execute spot cleaning sessions. It did well in standard tests, however it could not match the iRobot Roomba j7+ for the carpet deep cleaning test.

Using the companion app, you can program the S7 to run a cleansing cycle according to your schedule. You can select a cleaning mode like eco or automatic, as well as the day, week or even a time. You can also decide whether the robot should stop if it runs out of energy or encounters an obstacle.

There's nothing to dislike about the Shark IQ XL, although it is a little less robust than the Roomba 694. It is able to remove lots of dirt from bare floors and does a decent job at maneuvering itself however it's not even close to the iRobot Roomba i7 in terms of performance on carpeted surfaces. The i7 is also better-built and feels more durable and sturdy, has less maintenance requirements, is able to charge lower monthly costs, and is faster to charge, and offers comparable battery performance and the most advanced automation features, such as no-go zones as well as the ability to pick certain rooms to be cleaned.

In our tests, the j7+ was a solid performer on carpeted and hard floors, and it cleaned up most of the dirt we tossed at it. It isn't able to deal with pet hair, large debris and sand. However, it is able to clean them with more effort. It has good navigational abilities and two cliff sensors to prevent it from falling down the stairs or getting stuck on furniture legs.

The J7+ has a few small flaws, namely that it can get caught on cords or rugs and it doesn't always turn off the mopping function once it's finished vacuuming. This is a great model that checks all the boxes.

The j7+ by iRobot has one of the Best Self-Emptying Vacuum self-emptying systems we've seen. It drops its 14oz/0.4-liter dust container into the base station, and it automatically empties for you. This helps reduce the amount of garbage you have to throw away and you'll only have to replace the dust bag from the dock about every 60 days or so, depending on how often you use the J7+.
