Comparing to our top choice the Sony WH-1000XM5, the 700s have much better audio quality for phone calls. This makes them an excellent option for those who frequently make calls and want to be heard clearly while traveling.

The headphones can be connected to your mobile device using Bluetooth 4.2, and Bose’s proprietary A2DP protocol. They are compatible with aptX Adaptive, aptX HD and are ideal for audiophiles with sources that support the highest-quality wireless codes. Bose comes with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable for wired listening. They're also designed to work with Google Assistant and Alexa. The headphones come with a battery that can last for as long as 20 hours, and you'll also get quick, simple charging via the USB-C port on the right earcup.

Comfort

Bose headphones are comfortable, whether they're on or over-ear. Bose's headphones are usually well-padded and don't feel too tight on the head. The only drawback to these headphones is that they don't support the latest Bluetooth codes, such as aptX Adaptive and LDAC, which allow for lossless playback.

The Bose Sport Earbuds are smaller and sleeker than the Bose's flagship QuietComfort Earbuds, making them ideal for running and working out. The earbuds have a battery life of up to five hours, which is sufficient for the majority of exercises. The buds are water-resistant and come with built-in microphones to allow voice assistant integration. You can control the buds using the remote included or with the companion app. The app lets you alter the settings for Bose Aware Mode and ANC.

Controls

Contrary to the majority of Bose headphones, the 700s don't have physical controls on their earcups. There's an electronic touch panel on the right earcup that can be used to swipe and tap your finger. Tap twice to play or pause, swipe up to raise the volume, and down to lower it, and forward to skip tracks. One tap answers calls and a double tap rejects an incoming call.

The headset lets you toggle the "aware" mode, which allows some passthrough of your environment. This feature is useful for those who have to be aware of the environment while listening music or making calls.

Another feature on the 700s is a motion sensor that shuts down your headphones after a certain amount of inactivity. It's a great feature for those who don't remember to turn their headphones off or are easily distracted when using headphones. The Bose Connect App allows you to change the Auto-Off setting on your Bose headphones.
